Zuri is sitting next to me informing me that this summer she’s going to get ice cream from the ice cream truck. They’ve been talking about summer a lot lately.
Could be because it’s been roughly 10 degrees out for three months–yes, that’s quite possibly it.
So what do we do inside all day in 10 degree weather? Besides the obvious of poking and picking consistently. Because that’s what you do when you’re bored and little. You poke. and pick. And if you’re really lucky you get a reaction from your mamma.
And if you’re a wise mamma, you have lots going on for those littles. But, I’m not a wise mamma. Living in a coffee shop helps. But it seems the poking and the picking seems to continue on.
I can’t go to far with it. They are 4 and 2. And siblings. And sometimes siblings poke. and pick. constently. I’m just saying they seem to really enjoy it when it’s been 10 degrees out for quite some time and there’s no hope of change. And I’m just saying it makes me insane. sometimes.
I’m ready for it to be warm enough for the sun to shine. And I’m not saying that I don’t like snow. Because I do. But I am saying, I don’t like cabin fever littles style.
How do you solve the cabin fever issues in mid-winter? padded room? indoor trampoline? bungee littles? velcro wall?
I’ve been thinking of things to do indoors. And I’m thinking drastic measures need to be taken. I’m telling you now, it’s a warning. We may need to get messy. And we may need to invent things. And we may need to create. And we may need to run around aimlessly in circles for a very long time. And if we’re lucky chocolate will be involved.
I’m just warning you. Cabin fever needs to go.

[...] littles made these with me. And they were excited. And we got messy. And they didn’t poke or pick. And then they were on a little sugar buzz. And they then fell asleep [...]
