Can I tell you that I’ve spent a lot of time baking little presents whether they be edible or not for our family? And what’s been really exciting and devious of me is leaving the not edible ones out to cool on top of the counter. Remember now…I live in a coffee shop. The living room of the school students and everyone else in the community. So baking things like cookies is always a failing attempt. Those sneaky little people are professional at snagging a cookie or two while no one is looking. 20 people later and there are definitely no cookies left.

So you can just imagine my delight when I made handprints and other holiday cut-outs out of salt, flour, water, and more salt. boy they look nice coming out of the oven….and boy was it exciting to watch the first unsuspecting fellow to try a nice big bite. BWAA HAAA HAAA.

And then you can imagine how much more thrilling it was when I made my cinnamon applesauce ornaments which not only look beautiful but smell delicious too. Little did anyone know those are straight cinnamon, a wee bit of applesauce, and glue. That’s elmers glue.

I left those out to dry too. ^_^

and I was even offended when I heard a screaming girl yell that those were the most disgusting cookies she’s ever had. BWAA HAA HAA x’s 2.

And then I made a huge batch of sugar cookies. Real warm, soft, gooey, soon to be decorated by multiple littles cookies. And not one person touched them. They sat happily on the counter cooling with out one to be lost.

I don’t call it devious…I call it….clever. Yeah. Clever.
