I’m back. I admit it. And I took a week or so long hiatus from most of technology and my secret is–I don’t feel bad about it. So if you thought I died along the journey home. I’m really sorry. We’re alive. Safe and well. Home. Home to the coffee shop. Home to challenges. Home to our family in the school of ministry.
Before I get all sentimental on you let me just say the trip itself was amazing.
So good.
I know I complained in my last post but really it was all in good jest. Because the trip was grand overall. And I had high and lofty intentions of blogging some sort of awesomeness about the adventures. But then I boycotted technology. And now I’m a week home and lazy in the writing about the trip area.
But let me try to recap a little of things done and learned on the trip;
- My littles do not die in hours upon hours in the car
- if you want a group to get close, put them in vehicles together. –for added effect break the biggest vehicle down a number of times, in dangerous places like Gary, Indiana. This not only makes for good stories, but also the opportunity to see the Lord provide in big ways.
- Speaking of the Lord providing; we saw Him provide in a number of circumstances in a number of ways.
- One of those ways was when our own vehicle needed a $500 fix and a tiny little fellowship not knowing the costs just the prayer request–I repeat no money talk mentioned–put in Josh’s hands the EXACT amount we needed via 4 different people. funny how that works huh?
- I met a black widow spider and did not die.
- I repeat I did not die.
- Mountains are really pretty–even the smokey mountains, which I previously thought were piddly little hills.
- I learned that I can drive through the night successfully–this is valuable information in having small littles–very valuable
- I did not parish upon coming upon a black widow spider–did I mention that already? it’s that important.
- Asheville, North Carolina is both awesome and intensely creepy at the very same time
- SPIDERS!
mmm I think that’s all I got right now.
and I don’t have pictures.
I have videos.
My word do I have video’s. If you haven’t watched them yet, I think there’s 23–not a lie–up on our youtube page. I have a couple more to do…but that whole hiatus stopped me.

I am glad you didn’t die!!
