This guy is nuts. According to my standards that is.–and probably according to yours.
Who is he? His name is Chad Johnson. This guy used to be an A & R–that’s artist’s relations for the not so “industry” savvy soul–for Tooth & Nail. With tiny no-name bands like UnderOath under him.
Then. He left it.
He’s began another company called Come And Live. Allowing the musicians to be the missionaries they are called to be. Not ridiculous super stars that we-the church-eat up in a moments time, spitting them out, leaving them for dead, and then refusing to touch them because they…are…unclean.
I’m sorry, did I start to sound passionate about something? you’ll have to excuse that. I mean, it is exactly what we-HeBrews-are about. And why we do what we what we do. So now you’ll understand why I call Chad crazy.

Anyway. He blogged recently. And it reminded me of a post I wrote that was loved. And hated. and then people loved to hate it.
And for the sake of the crazies. I thought I’d pull it all up again. and say Thank God for a more upstanding crazy then us.

I remember when Underoath was a no-name band. Those were the days!
There was a time when Dave and I were that kind of crazy. I actually really hate it now that life is so “normal”. I don’t think we were meant to live like this. We have been house hunting lately, and I have come to the conclusion that I would definitely much rather just live on a bus. Or in a hut on a beach somewhere. This life is not for me!
You have actually been on my mind and heart a lot lately. I think that the Flikkemas need to come and visit you guys sometime. For realz.
